On my voyage…

December 17, 2008

On my way into work, on any given day I would usually see a tonne of cars that take my fancy, obviously some more modern and others of an older generation or two.

What I thought I would do today, is take my camera along for the walk.  Unfortunately whilst fiddling about making sure the settings were on high shutter speed (so I didn’t miss any fast moving vehicles) I, in the process, missed an absolutely mint Chrysler VF Valiant, and at times when I thought I would turn the camera off to save batteries on my walk into work, I also missed a few others that were worthy of being noted.

However, I cannot go back in time and as such, I shall post that which I did manage to capture, starting… from the start!  Enjoy.

…and just as I rounded the corner to take my last few steps to work, this came hurtling towards me (at entirely legal speeds) thankfully I still had the camera on after taking the photo of the motorcycles shown above.

Hillman Hunter

Singer Vogue

Well looked after, appropriately accessorised, in a lurid 70′s green, what more could you ask for from a car that is essentially a Hillman Hunter?

Of course, withing 5minutes of having stepped into the door a beautiful RX4 coupe horridly pulsed it’s way past the window, but with the camera already down and the images being copied, I missed that one too.

As you can see, not a massive amount of photopgraphs in total, but given I missed some and chose not to take photos of some others, I think it shows a nice random cross section of what I see on my 10 minute walk into work in the morning.  There’s a few “usual’s” that I missed that I would have like to have captured, hopefully I can get those another time.
