How cool is this?! With thanks to ‘george’ on www.oldjapanesecar.com for providing the link in their eBay find thread.
For those unaware, Chrysler and Mitsubishi had been entwined since the mid 70′s, Mitsubishi’s were sold in the US and Canada, essentially just re-badged as either Dodge or Plymouth. The Plymouth Arrow is a particular cool car given the hilarity of it’s versions. However, this entry is about this immaculate Plymouth Colt. Just gander at it a while, it’s in amazing condition. Don’t believe me? Check this out…
Many more pictures are available to view on the eBay site, however, it will no doubt expire at some stage, leaving all the photos to die a horrible death. So I’ve saved them all. You can view them on eBay for the time being and also check out how the auction fares via this link;
I mean, sure it’s FWD they were never a spectacular car in NZ but the 1600 SOHC Turbo motor which is attached to a Hi/Low gear setup, giving you 10 gears, (two speeds in each selection, that’s right, two speed reverse!) is likely a bit more fun than the 1100 fare.
Enjoy!

80s Dodge Challenger = Galant Lambda/Sapporo
That rules me for its yuckness.
Weird seeing a 1600cc turbo engine in one of those horrid old froggy Mirages – JDM ones ‘only’ got the 1400cc turbo version.
Must’ve gone like stink being such a small car.
That is incredibly rare! I would have expected it to be a carburettored version. It has the same motor as the Mark II Mirage Turbo.
Oh would so love this and decal it up like the original Panther version.. and especially the left hook – so freakin keen!!!
