Fuego! Fuego! Fuego!

spotted on trademe:

1985 Renault Fuego TURBO! 117,000 miles, pretty sweet condition, sheepskin seat covers, parts for Africa, and styling only a drunk Frenchman could have come up with… ;)

all for the princely sum of $3000.

FIRE!

This guy explains the Fuego Turbo phenomenon far more eloquently than I ever could, but it’s nice to know that it wasn’t only the Japanese who were successfully tinkering around with forced induction back then.

Hahah, these are actually pretty sweet little rides. There use to be a few that kicked about down here but they’re by no means as prevalent as they once were. I recall some young chap getting a turbo version and then attempting to compete with Japanese rivals of a more modern ilk. Needless to say, he broke his car more often than he beat anyone. Still, commendable effort.

    Hi Fuego Turbo fans,
I’m looking for a petrol sender unit for my 1985 Fuego Turbo.
Hope somebody out there can help.
