Recently posted on the trademe thread on the oldschool forums was this weird entity. The picture initially provided I assumed it was a Toyota Carina so clicked on it with relative interest, only to be greeted by the weirdest version of a Nissan Pulsar I’ve ever laid my eyes on!
Listed on trademe with the titling of “Backpacker” I assume to appeal to those backpacker types due to it’s clean and cheapness ($1200.ooNZD) A search of the plate on carjam.co.nz reveals it as being a “Nissan Pulsar Liberty” HN12 chassis and E15 motivated. Click “more” for further pictures. It’s very 80′s.
You can view it’s auction and a few more photos on the treademe website here (at least until the auction finishes).
Enjoy the weirdness!

Wow! Almost as weird as the Nissan Langley!
http://jdmoption.wordpress.com/2008/06/18/1987-nissan-langley-16-gt/
If I squint my eyes it does look like the Carina! But from the rear it does not resemble the Carina. The rear looks like inspired Chevrolet when drawing the Corsica!
Far weirder than the Langley, we actually seemed to get a few of those over here so they’re something I’ve seen round and about from time to time. The “Liberty” is something else. So weird. Noticed the other day the side profile and angle and height of the boot is also very early 80′s Civic sedan.
Guess what I found on Youtube:

According to those two men the Pulsar Liberty is more beautiful than a Bluebird 910 and Leopard!
Ahhahhaa, they MUST be dreaming!
Liberty Villa, no less! I wonder what wonders the Villa holds, perhaps you can live in it??
Maybe a swimming pool in the boot?
