Car Spotting

Some of you on OS may remember me making note of this event for you a few months back, I apologise for the delay in providing further evidence of it but, better late than never right?  Anyway, here is the poster for the event;

With the Main feature being Pre ’87 Chromed Iron Bumper Wagons, it would obviously prove to be a hell of an event for the wagon enthusiast.  It did not disappoint!

First up, it would be rude to not start with the winner of the Chromed Iron Bumper Wagon Award, this simply magic Prince Gloria;

There was an awesome selection of vehicles, whether they were wagon, ute, van, sedan, coupe.  You name it, they showed.  Check out some more snaps courtesy of the official MoonEyes Japan website,

commence the attack!

October 22, 2009

zeki has updated his Minkara blog with more choice DR30/general OS Nissan meet photos from this weekend just been. Sometimes I wish that sort of thing happened here – but I guess that’s what the annual Auckland classic Jap meets are all about. (fake edit: Also some photos from the same event by SKYHAND, here)

“Serious” Dash

October 15, 2009

I wish my current logistical situation allowed the importation of this.

I’m Lichen the Mould

October 14, 2009

Making a Valiant effort to escape the Humber, which isn’t above Holden up things.

That’s right… I went there.

The photos on this post are all taken by padre Richard also known as Snoozin on a few forums here and there.  They’re a sweet combination of slightly saddening but entirely impressive collection of a friendly and reasonable hoarding chap.  If you like those “Rust in Peace” type pictures then this entry is for you. There’s really no need for me to say anything about the photos, they speak well enough for themselves.

I’ve included some of my favourites in this post but being it would make the post quite large, I’ve included a gallery link at the bottom of the entry so you can view them all via thumbnail of your own accord.

FT-86, Levin Notch?

October 13, 2009

Not retro at all other than the potential lineage, however, everyone else was jumping on the band-wagon so I figured, hell!  why not!?  P-shopped a Levin notch from the original concept of the FT-86;

Could have used more time and effort, I got bored.
