Many of you (in NZ at least) will recall the Prince Skyway (Prince Skyline Wagon) that came up for sale on trademe.co.nz in March 2008, after being shown at the Kumeu Hotrod show a few months prior. If you were wondering whether it did or didn’t sell, the answer is in the affirmative, it did sell and the latest information is that it’s made it’s way back to the land of the rising sun with help from Jason Quigg (you may know him from such places as the Prince Skyline GT Register) the car found an owner and was consequently shipped home to Japan.
This was how it was presented on trademe.co.nz;
…and here’s the latest, a few photos that I’ve copied from Prince Skyline GT Register April ’09 Meeting Minutes.
The bus in the background with it’s NZ plates is what gives away that it’s still in NZ at this point, now I warn you. Get ready to be amazed at the next photo, it shows what could potentially be something entirely amazing and until this point I was unaware of any other.
The word here, according to the Prince Skyline GT Meeting Minutes, is that the Hakosuka it’s sitting beside on the boat, was on it’s way to another port in New Zealand, to be delivered, before the ship made it’s journey back to Japan. If this information is correct, it would mean that there is at least one C10 Skyline in NZ and it got delivered somewhere other than Auckland. If you know anymore about this or are the owner of this car, please let me know! Something tells me it’s likely gone to CHCH I guess we’ll all find out in due time, the country is to small to keep such things hidden for an extended period of time.
So, not only is it a happy ending, there’s also a new discovery afoot! Awesome stuff. Now if you’re worried about what might become of this car after being taken back to Japan, I assure you the wagon will be in very good hands and to prove it, the chap who bought it also owns this now restored example;
I’ve also got updates on another early Skyline to share with you too, that however will have to wait for a little while until I’ve been given the all clear. Keep coming back though! You’ll find out soon enough.

bigger pic of c10?
Right Click and “View Image” It’s at 640×480 in it’s largest form.
chur cuz, you NEED to find out whos getting it and do a feature etc
There’s a few people I’ve considered who could have it. It will take some investigation though. I’m hoping they’ll make themselves known and not in an NZPC kind of way, where the majority of the information will be incorrect because they’ve taken it off wikipedia or some such.
NZPC, inaccurate? never, i dont think such a high end publication would ever fail to do sufficiant quantitys of investigation befor publishing

Hi there,
Can you help? In Nov 2009 there was a Prince Skyline S54B-2 advertised. It was in NSW.
I am trying to find if it was sold or not, and if not how can I contact the owner? The Suberb was St Peters.
Hey there Denis, you might want to contact Jason Quigg, of the Prince Skyline GT Register in Australia. He’s more in tune with such happenings.
Any news on the Hakosuka? I’d love to see that in the flesh!!
There’s rumours but nothing solid unfortunately.
