Should probably give a clue that it was only a prototype. I can think of at least one person who may well know.

austin a40 hearse
You’re who I thought would know, and according to how I found it and it’s label, that is BZZZT, incorrect. Unless you have evidence to dictate otherwise?
Is it a Datsun & Austin bodied Hearse of the same era?
I wanted to say Hillman Cob Estate, but I didnt want to be the first to suggest it was British, haha
Oh, it’s British alright. Just not those guesses.
looks like it as morris styling, its to small to be a daimler…………but im going to through a hilman husky out there?
vangaurd? ( sp? )
triumph estate?
Will give it until tomorrow evening and let it be known then if no-one gets it.
Looks like an early Riley One Point Five but in estate form. A new one on me.
It looks like a Morris Major/Austin Lancer wagon? The rear guard looks pretty much identical.
OK, means to an end. The photograph was labelled as a “1956 New Morris Minor Estate Proto-type” though, it does appear to be some sort of prototype Major estate, as opposed to Minor estate, so perhaps there’s more than one or two errors in the labelling of the photo.
Still, pretty fruity!
It’s a Morris Oxford,(Hindustan in India) with alterations of body feature
